A Day at the Cashmere Goat Farm

March 1, 2015

Do you know where your expensive cashmere sweater comes from? Cashmere goats of course!

It was cashmere harvest time and a friend and I had the privilege of brushing these awesome goats!

The farm did not smell at all! In fact, the goats smell exactly like strong good quality feta cheese. They licked my hands and now my hands smell like feta cheese.

If you like these pictures, good news! My friend brought a high quality camera and took more photos! Stay tuned.

Check out the farm and like the page! They raise their goats and one llama with love! They sell fiber (cashmere), meat and goats for reproducing. https://www.facebook.com/lachevredoeuvre

Top Song – Never Gonna Say I’m Sorry – Ace Of Bass

February 11, 2015

I love this song. I’m glad I heard this song at an impressionable age, (10). Be yourself, and be happy about it, and have a good time, even if it comes across as unusual for bland sheeples, you don’t have to answer to anyone who wants to bring you down with their grouchy attitude.

Here are my favourite parts of the lyrics:

“I’m never gonna say I’m sorry
I’m a clown for everyone…

…I’m a loser, that is a fact for sure
I’m happy even if you don’t want…

…I’m not normal, I know it, I don’t care…”

I donated $10 to Wikipedia

December 9, 2014

I am letting the world know not because I want a pat on the back, but because I want to raise awareness and make this a more commonplace thing to do. Wikipedia must have single handedly raised the average IQ of all people on planet earth by 10 points.

As for those who say that Wikipedia is not an official source of information, STOP RIGHT THERE. IT IS A SOURCE TO FIND OFFICIAL SOURCES OF INFORMATION. READ THE CITATIONS. EACH SENTENCE HAS A CITATION. THIS CITATION POINTS TO AN OFFICIAL SOURCE OF INFO SUCH AS PEER REVIEWED JOURNALS, GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS, AND REPUTABLE NEWSPAPERS. LOOK AT THOSE LINKS.

You can even go to the “talk” tab to see debates around grey areas.

There are countless number of volunteers that make sure that the information is unbiased and factual. We need to keep Wikipedia independent from commercial interests, that is why you don’t see advertisements.

So donate to wikipedia so they can keep on doing what they are doing!

A Good Day

July 22, 2014

This picture represents the funniest day I had this summer. I still laugh about it.

We shot a music video.

Then we went to the Cult Montreal 2nd year anniversary party at my favourite venue in town, the SAT. This is where I met a Ph.D. candidate who taught me what the “whole gamut” actually means.

Cool people. Photo taken by Lisa Sproull.

Cool and very talented people. I can’t keep a straight face! Photo taken by Lisa Sproull.

More Gear! The Inspirational Story Behind This Midi Controller

July 1, 2014

20140621_160248
Summary:

The midi controller keyboard I wanted was for sale used, so I rushed to get it. I missed the bus by a second, the driver closed the door in my face. I ran to the next bus stop and I CAUGHT UP WITH HER!!! Then I gave her a piece of my mind.

The Long Version:

I’ve been trying to find a suitable set up for my live shows. I had my eye on the M-Audio 61e, since it was cheap and did exactly what I needed to do, it plugs into the computer and loads any samples I want. The keys are semi weighted, not fully, but semi will do!

I was about to buy it new at a store. As I was about to leave, I went on my facebook wall and saw that a friend on facebook happened to be selling the exact same one slightly used! So I rushed to get it because I had something planned after. I waited for the bus but it wasn’t coming, and I needed change for a 20. I went across the street to the small grocery store that looked empty. But a handicap lady and her son were at the cashs buying one pear, one orange, two apples, one something else. The cashier was slow. Then I saw the bus come. So I dashed out, crossed the street, and I was on time, except the bus driver decided to close the door in my face and drive off!

Oh no you didn’t! So I ran to the next bus stop AND CAUGHT UP WITH HER! Then I demanded to know why she didn’t stop, and I kinda muttered, “useless”. Then I sat down and people laughed.
