White Squirrel Sighting in Montreal!

August 19, 2011

This shot clearly proves that this white squirrel is in Parc Lafontaine, Montreal because you can see Théâtre de Verdure in the background.

With only a few rare sightings in Toronto, and other North American cities, I am proud to say that they also make Montreal their home!

This is big news since white squirrels aren’t known for being here! I saw this white squirrel in Parc Lafontaine one summer night and took as many pictures of it as I could with my cellphone. The images are not the best quality, but if you squint, you can clearly see its white glow and furry little tail. And you can also clearly see that it is in Parc Lafontaine because Théâtre de Verdure is in the background. I was not able to tell if it was white or an albino. It’s time to let the public know! I am going to write to the media and see if they buy the story! Readers, I will let you know what happens.

Another look at the white squirrel in Montreal. I took as many shots as I could!

A Great Photographer in Montreal

August 17, 2011

Readers,

It’s with great pleasure that I introduce you to my favourite photographer, Mojtaba at Montreal Moments. He put careful time and attention to my photographic needs. And its time that I put some careful time and attention in recognizing his great work on my blog!

All the photos for my CD and website were taken by him. To get the perfect shot, he went above and beyond. Incessant snapping in many angles. He had no shortage of creative ideas, and as a result, there was no shortage of good photos. It was clear that photography was his passion. Add to this that he was super friendly and made me feel comfortable, which is super important as your mood can come through the photos. The session was a lot of fun, and I look forward to working with him in the near future.

Montreal has a great photographer available!

Iranian Water Fight 2011

August 16, 2011

Iranian Water FIght, Sunnybrook Park, Toronto

Who: Me, partner in crime, and many teenagers.

What: Iranian Water Fight 2011.

When: Saturday, August 13, 2011.

Where: Sunnybrook Park, Toronto.

Why: Because it’s fun! And for some, its also a political response to the water fight ban in Iran.

Loosely organized on Facebook with more than 450 RSVP’s, this event was sure to be grand. I like being part of viral movements that have meaning, and the weather was perfect!

There was a water fight in Iran recently that got many people arrested and made the news. It wasn’t far from different in Toronto. The Toronto police crashed the water fight because there was no permit and they threatened to make arrests. The group dispersed but later on re-congregated by the river. The police didn’t come back.

Highlights: Me and my partner in crime emptied our water bottle on an unsuspecting dude taking a break from the water fight. It was a pretty cheap move to gang up on one person, but funny at the same time! What’s cheaper is that we ran away as fast as we could. But promised to return next year, with maybe a few more to add to the gang!

Then Officer Ahmed crashed the party.

“Are There Parallel Universes?” – Cool Documentary I Saw

August 12, 2011

I watched, “Are There Parallel Universes?” from the “Through The Wormhole” series.

It was interesting. Profound even, had I understood 80% of what they were talking about.

Sometimes I understood an idea, then they added to that idea, then I forgot the logic of the first idea and couldn’t understand the second idea, then I had to rewind! Then I wikipedia’d it. But still no follow! Even the scientists admit that some of the ideas were too complicated for them.

One theory I found interesting was the one about all possibilities existing in different dimensions/universes. I can’t even put my mind around that! There are infinite combinations of atoms. Statistics say that combination of atoms also repeat. So technically, there is a repeat combination of atoms that make up who I am somewhere out there.

You can check the documentary out on YouTube, or watch it here. And check out all the other documentaries from “Through The Wormhole”. I can’t wait to go through them all! Though I will certainly have to watch it more than a few times to get it all. Sometimes it’s nice to warp outside our suspiciously rigid world!
