2020 Thoughts

January 2, 2021

As a Domestic Engineer, I really needed to up my game, so I looked for books about how to make recipes rather than just following recipes. This really improved my life! The only book I could find on this subject was called “How to Cook Everything. The Basics. All you Need To Make Great Food” by Mark Bittman.

Since this is the covid19 era, I really especially needed to make an effort to eat at home and avoid the risk of getting the virus by eating out, even if it is carry out! (think touching atm cards that touch machines, and receipts that ask for tips, and having to touch a communal pen, being in close proximity of public workers even if they wear a mask, etc.)

Also, I can’t believe how many people are so disconnected from reality and don’t have a grasp on basic grade 5 math. People are freaking out about the vaccine that had a sample of 40,000 people in the trials and even though millions have gotten it already with a death rate of 0% vs. the documented long term effects of covid19 and the death rate of 2%. They also think it is just as bad as the flu, even though the flu has never filled up the hospitals and killed so many people. At this point, 1 in 1000 Americans have died from covid19, that pretty much means everyone in America knows of at least one person who died from it. And still there is denial! A lot of people also think that you can’t spread it if you are not sick. Such lack of insight from the general population gives me confidence in my ability to do… well just about anything.
